Do you ever find yourself stuck in a negative tailspin? Something happens, you fall in to a funk and while you are trying to work through it you beat yourself up a little bit (or in some cases, a lot).

I go through moments where I think I’m not good enough, or slim enough, or visible enough and then pile on all sorts of reasons why. I run through “all the things” I should be doing and forget what I’ve already accomplished.

I learned a number of years ago of the power of positive affirmations. I’ve come to understand that our brains don’t actually care what is true and what is not … it believes what we consistently tell it.

Negative thoughts in … negative responses, behaviours and beliefs out. The same is true with positive thoughts and I believe we can shift or flip to a more positive state of mind. 

What we focus on, we bring about.  I’ve seen that played out in my own life, time and again.  So now, I choose to be kind and positive with my thoughts and actions.  About others.  About myself.  My wish is that you’ll choose to do that too.

 

I know you can relate …

It’s time to be kind to yourself.  It’s time to be gentle with yourself.  It’s time to honour yourself and believe you are enough.  Just the way you are.  Even on the tough days.

Sometimes we need a little help with POSITIVE statements about ourselves, especially when we are feeling less than.  It takes desire and discipline to create your own affirmations.  It takes desire and discipline to read/listen to them aloud every day, particularly when you are already feeling overwhelmed.  So let me help you with that.

A few years ago, I recorded some positive affirmations to help remind you that you are enough.   I’ve been asked about them a number of times recently, so thought it must be time to share them again.  The work is done for you… all you have to to is listen.  Your time investment is a mere 15 minutes.

Listen to them with an open heart and mind and do your best to repeat each one as we go along … particularly those that resonate most with you.
